Chicken-pox was prevalent during the year, 169 cases being notified
chiefly from schools. Two were treated in hospital.
Mumps.—Ninety-five cases were recorded. Two were treated in
hospital.
Puerperal Fever and Ophthalmia Neonatorum.—See above, under
Maternity and Child Welfare.
Plague and Cholera.—Intimation was received of 14 persons coming
into Westminster from places where plague had occurred and one from
a cholera-infected port.
