"The total number of persons attending for the first time was 421. Of
those 183 were contacts.
26 were suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis.
8 were suffering from non.pulmonary tuberculosis.
140 were not tuberculous."
The estimated net expenditure on the Dispensary Service for the 12
months ending March, 1923 is £1,786. For the two preceding years the
actual net expenditure was 1920.21, £2,122; 1921.22, £1,794.
An offer was received from Charing Cross Hospital to take over the
Dispensary Service. The advantages and disadvantages of the scheme
were very carefully considered in conference with the Ministry and the
County Council; eventually it was decided to continue the present system
which has worked so satisfactorily in the past.

The total number of cases of tuberculous disease on the Register at the end of 1922 was 1,589 as compared with 1,513 at the end of the year 1921.
