The death from Erysipelas was due to dirt getting into wound after
vaccination. Two of the Acute Diarrhœa deaths were of children who
never lived in Westminster, being boarded out, after birth in outlying
institutions; 1 death was a child who had been in the Infirmary for
three months before death.
Of the Chronic Enteritis deaths, 2 were of children who came into
Westminster a few weeks before.
The cause of the death recorded as Marasmus was possibly Tuberculosis.
Two deaths were members of a set of triplets; 1 child died out of
each of 4 sets of twins.
