this course, as the attendances at the medical inspection are already so
numerous that an additional session is urgently required. At Rochester
Row Centre an additional session for children has been instituted.
Expectant Mothers.—The names of 786 were sent by hospitals,
doctors and midwives, voluntarily notified or found by visitors, and to
these, and to 189 cases brought forward from 1919, 2,796 visits were
paid at their homes, besides numerous interviews at the Centres; 149
were carried forward to 1921, and 54 moved out of Westminster before
the confinement took place. Of the 772 who were confined, 724 had
live and 34 stillborn children, while there were 34 miscarriages. 225
attended the Mothercraft Classes at the various Centres.
