pulmonary tuberculosis. Of these 47 men, 36 women, and 18 children
had some form of institutional treatment. Of the other forms of
tuberculosis there were 54 sufferers and of these 40 had treatment in
an institution.

It will be noted that in both classes some had more than one form
of institutional treatment.
The County Council took over institutional treatment for noninsured
adults from the middle of the year relieving the City Council
of that duty. Later, arrangements were made to send away children
