Annual Report on the Health and Sanitary
Condition of the City of Westminster,
1913.
To the
Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors
of the City of Westminster.
Mr. Mayor, my Lords, Lady and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit to you my Annual Report for the
year 1913.
Returns required by the Local Government Board, and particulars
relating to Factories and Workshops required by the Home
Office, are incorporated therein.
The subject of Tuberculosis has been somewhat fully dealt with in
view of the extension of notification to all forms of the disease, and of
the operation of the Insurance Act. A scheme has been prepared
in connection with local hospitals for the provision of a Tuberculosis
Dispensary, but it has not yet received the sanction of the Local
Government Board.
I have the honour to be,
Mr. Mayor, my Lords, Lady and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
FRANCIS J. ALLAN,
Medical Officer of Health.
March, 1914.
