The classification of the kinds of buildings is based on descriptions furnished by the local enumerators; in some cases, especially as regards the
B2 distinction between a flat and an ordinary dwelling-house occupied by more than one family, differences in practice are almost inevitable, the numbers
under the several headings must therefore be regarded as approximate.
