18 canes notified as smallpox, 6 as scarlet fever, 5 as diphtheria, and 4 as enteric fever were eventually found not to be so suffering.
In addition to the above, 1 fatal case of smallpox, 1 of diphtheria, and 1 of erysipelas were not notified.
