From Table III. we see that the death-rate of London
proper, with an estimated population of 4,403,169, amounted
to 18.2, the average rate in the previous ten years having
been 19.9.
The death-rate of Greater London, with an estimated
population of 6,291,677, was 16.7, the average rate in the
previous ten years having been 18.24.
