Disinfectants have been distributed to the public when
required and personal instructions given as to their proper
use. The number of articles of clothing, &c., disinfected
was considerably more than in 1890.
There are 30 bake.houses on the register; they have been
inspected twice during the year, and the sanitary condition
of three of them has been greatly improved, but legislation
is necessary to compel the closing of all bake.houses that
are situated in underground rooms.
The slaughterhouses, of which there are five licensed in

the parish, and the two licensed cowhouses have been
regularly inspected and found to be satisfactorily conducted,
