The death-rate of Edinburgh was 20.0 (or 2 per thousand
higher than in 1889), that of Glasgow 25.3, and that of
Dublin 26.4, the two latter being higher than in 1889.
As usual the lowest death-rates in foreign cities are much
higher than the death-rate of this Parish, the nearest to it
