My Lords and Gentlemen,
The total number of deaths registered in the Parish
during the 52 weeks ending December 29th, 1888, was 1817,
a larger number than in 1887, but smaller than the average
recorded during the preceding 10 years. Of these deaths,
however, 861 occurred in the Public Institutions in the
Parish, whereas the deaths of our Parishioners in the Public
Institutions in the Metropolis only amounted to 467, and
those in the extra Metropolitan Asylums to 15, making a
