Maintenance of Footways and Carriageways.
Carriageways (Stone Paving).
The old Granite pitching, or paving stones, removed
from the channels and crossings of the streets in which
Wood Pavement has been laid down, have been carted to
the Depot of the Vestry, and subsequently utilized in relaying
new crossings, channels, &c.
Refuges.
Refuges have been fixed during the past year at the following
places, viz.:—
In-Wards.
jBerkeley Square, by Bruton Street.
Bond Street, by Conduit Street.
Park Lane, by Stanhope Gate.
Bond Street, by Oxford Street.
Hanover Square, by Hanover Square Club.
Piccadilly, by Down Street.
Berkeley Square, by Mount Street.
Out-Wards.
Elizabeth Bridge, by Buckingham Palace Road.
JEccleston Bridge, by Buckingham Palace Road.
Stockbridge Terrace, opposite entrance to Metropolitan District
Railway Station.
Q-rosvenor Grardens, opposite Grosvenor Hotel.
Stockbridge Terrace, opposite 8, Victoria Buildings.
The lamp columns and guard posts have been made and
supplied by Messrs. Young and Co., of Eccleston Iron
Works, from Patterns specially designed for this Parish,
and which are the exclusive property of the Vestry.
