St. George's Church.
The Yestry having had under consideration the question
of the right of the Earl of Harewood to hold, free of rent,
three pews in the South Gallery of St. George's Church,
and having referred to the resolution of Yestry of 1725 and
1810 thereon, Resolved—
That a letter be written to Lord Harewood calling his
attention to the correspondence of 1810, between
the Yestry and the then Lord Harewood, and the
representative of General Steuart, and the resolution
of the Yestry thereon, of the 10th February
in that year; and further, to the fact that neither
the then Lord Harewood, or any son of his, is
now a Parishioner—that, under these circumstances,
the period, pointed to by the before-named
resolution, is at an end, and that, therefore, the
time has arrived at which rent in the usual way
should be paid for the pews (numbers 42, 43, and
44). That these pews be offered to Lord Harewood
at the rent of £19 10*. per annum.
