the Metropolitan Board of "Works upon each application
is submitted in Appendix No. 10.
Seventy-eight applications for permission to build or alter
vaults, areas, dung pits, and other works, abutting upon or
under the public way, have been considered by the Vestry.
A list of the various applications, with the decision of the
Vestry, is printed in Appendix No. 11.
Alterations in Names of Streets, and Renumbering
of Houses.
Orders of the Metropolitan Board of Works, for renumbering
houses, were received during the year, as follows:
Re-numbering New Bond Street, from 168, to end of
street, including therein Clarendon Mansions.
Re-numbering the whole of the houses in South Street,
Grosvenor Square.
Numbering the house at the corner of Clarges Street
and Curzon Street, 5a only, instead of 5a and 29.
