Lighting.
The streets under the control of the Vestry have been
lighted by gas supplied by the Gas Light and Coke Company
and the London Gas Company.

The following Table will exhibit the number of lights in each district,—the cost, quality, and quantity of gas consumed per burner:—

Note (a).—The total number of lamps includes 14 for lighting urinals.
„ (b).—These charges include, in each case, repairs, painting, &c.
„ (c).—Now the Gas Light and Coke Company.
„ (d).—Since Christmas, 1875, an alteration has been made in the
number of lamps consuming Cannel Gas; formerly the whole
of the lamps supplied by the London Gas Company, burnt
Cannel, but now 62 burn Common; this alteration will effect
a slight saving to the Parish.
