Sacramental Alms' Fund.—Parish Church.
The money collected at the Offertory of Holy Communion,
is under the control of the Rector and Churchwardens, who
dispose of it in monthly payments, of seven shillings each, to
about eighty poor and aged persons, selected from the parochial
district of the Parish Church. The amount distributed
during the past year (viz., from Ascension Day, 1874, to
Ascension Day, 1875) was £329 7s.
The Offertory collected for the same period was as follows:—

To provide the amount required for the recipients, the sum
of £26 (5s. was withdrawn from the reserve fund at the
bankers, Messrs. Herries, Farquhar, & Co.
The bread and wine for the Holy Communion, at St.
George's Church and the above Chapels, is provided by the
Churchwardens of the Parish Church, and paid for by them
out of the general income of that church, and not at the expense
of the parishioners as the Rubric directs.
N.B.—Number of communicants at St. George's for the
year, 2,807.
