There were also 2557 cases of bronchitis, 76 of pleurisy, and
180 of pneumonia.
Vaccination in the Hanover and May fair Sub-Districts.
In the year ending 1st April, 1865, the number vaccinated
was 232, of whom 225 were successfully done. Three only of the
above were secondary vaccinations. The latter are largely practised
in times of panic during an epidemic of small-pox; for
instance, last year there were 318 primary, and 526 secondary
vaccinations.
