[Report of the Medical Officer of Health for Hanover Square, The Vestry of the Parish of Saint George]

at St. George's Hospital. The whole number includes 129 cases
of small-pox, 73 of chicken-pox, 122 of measles, 98 of scarlet fever,
274 of whooping-cough, 6 of croup, 945 of diarrhoea, 32 of dysentery,
209 of continued fever, 245 of rheumatic fever, 77 of erysipelas,
24 of diphtheria, 17 of carbuncle. There were also 2,174
cases of bronchitis, 00 of pleurisy, and 179 of pneumonia.
