One complaint was received of noise nuisance from a loudspeaker operating on
the highway and this was resolved informally.

Most of the complaints of noise refer to the noisy machinery and roadworks. A high
degree of success has been achieved in abating nuisances by informal means such as
discussion with commercial and industrial management.
