Training Programme
The Principal Mental Health Social Worker and her deputy gave talks to groups
of officers of the Council and to voluntary organisations: students, to observe or
take part in casework, were seconded from London, Manchester and Nottingham
universities, the North West Polytechnic, and the N.S.P.C.C. Thirty-six student
nurses from Cane Hill, Guy's and St. Giles' Hospitals, and eight student health
visitors also attended.
Voluntary Agencies
The London Borough of Southwark has a number of voluntary agencies providing
a variety of social services. Their contributions to community care were
most valuable.
