Infant Mortality
The total number of deaths of infants under one year of age was
43, the causes of death being as follows:-
Pneumonia 6
Whooping Cough 1
Meningococcal Infection 1
Congenital malformations 8
Other defined and ill defined diseases 27
Total 43
Twenty-seven of these deaths occurred under the age of one week,
as follows

Maternal Mortality
One maternal death occurred in the 25-45 age group.
