FOOD POISONING 11 of the 21 cases (including those for Southwark residents notified to other Boroughs from hospitals in their areas) where organisms were isolated were individual cases, as follows:-

Salmonella Thomson1
Salmonella Heidelberg2
Salmonella Kunzendorf2

The remaining 10 cases were in "outbreaks" (more than one
case in a family) due to Salmonella Typhi-murium, Salmonella
Anatum, and Salmonella Heidelberg.
No definite identification with any contaminated food was
obtained in any of these cases.
