1955 providing for the issue by local authorities of licences for
the use of vehicles, stalls and places other than premises for the
preparation or sale of food for human consumption and prohibiting
the use of any such vehicles, etc. except in accordance with
such a licence.
Whilst the problem does not appear to be a serious one in
Southwark, the Council informed the Standing Joint Committee
that regulations under Section21 of the Food and Drugs Act, 1955,
as suggested, would be advantageous.

FOOD HYGIENE : PREPARATION OF SHRIMPS ETC.
On 31st December an amendment of the Food Hygiene Regulations
came into force regarding the preparation and packing of
shrimps, prawns and onions in domestic premises registered for
the preparation of food under Section 16 of the Food and Drugs
Act. 1955.
