During the year 1,087 verminous rooms and. their contents were
treated by the disinfecting staff.

In addition one ton thirteen hundredweights of miscellaneous
articles and household effects were destroyed.
Disinfection. The total number of disinfections of rooms during the
year by the Council's Disinfecting staff was 421. Of
this number 385 rooms were disinfected after the occurrence of the
ordinary notifiable infectious diseases, and 36 after cases of
pulmonary tuberculosis.
