PUBLIC HEALTH (LONDON) ACT, 1936.
Section 96.
175 additional water supplies were provided to houses during the
year 1938.
FACTORIES ACT, 1937.
This amending and consolidating measure came into force on
July 1st, 1938, and owing to the extension of the duties of Local
Authorities under the new Act, I considered it necessary to abandon
our old method of recording inspections and defects and action taken
as the new requirements had rendered it obsolete. The new system now
in use will be much more in keeping with present-day conditions and
more adapted to our new responsibilities.
