A parcel of Imported Dried Orange Peel was infested with insects.
LETTUCE.
Samples of Lettuce from France and Spain were submitted for
bacteriological examination and proved negative for Bacillus Typhosis.
Ten railway trucks of Lettuce, weighing 26 tons 10 cwts., which were
imported from Spain were found to be unfit for food and were destroyed
by the Council.
