INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD.
The milk supply of the district is good, the milk premises clean and
under constant supervision, and the retailing is largely in the hands of
leading firms of good reputation. There are no cowsheds in the Borough
and all milk is imported from country districts.
Meat inspection in the district includes a very large quantity of
imported frozen and chilled meats, which are dealt with at the wharves
