10359, Dodson street27/11/112/1/12These houses were again represented, by a resolution of the Council passed on 25th June, 1920, Closing Orders were served under Sec. 17 (2). These houses have been demolished. New building being constructed.
Defects.—The house structure is worn out, there is no damp course in the walls and the walls are damp, the woodwork of the house, such as the floors, windows, doors, partitions and stairs, is old, worn out and dilapidated. The internal arrangement of the rooms of the house is bad, and the staircase is narrow, the closet accommodation is bad, the roof is defective, the back yard is small and the through ventilation of the house is bad.

14313, Sutherland place3/2/1326/2/13This house was again represented, and by a resolution of the Council passed on 30th January. 1920, Closing Orders were served under Sec. 17 (2). On March 19th, 1921, Orders for demolition we made under Sec. 18. This house has been demolished.
Works necessary to be done.—Repair the roofs so as to make them wind and watertight, provide new eaves, gutters and rain water pipes, make good the cracked and defective walls, repoint the brickwork, provide new stone sills to the windows, provide a damp proof course in the walls, repair the defective floors, window frames and sashes, doors and frames, provide proper fastenings to the doors, repair stoves and firegrates, strip and cleanse the dirty walls and ceilings, repair defective plaster, repave the yard in front of the house with hard and impervious material, screen off the water closets from the house, repair and cleanse the water closets. amend defective drains.

Defects.—The house structure is dilapidated, damp and worn out. The woodwork of the house is dilapidated and defective. The house roof is defective. There is no back yard.

Defects.—The house structure is damp and worn out. The woodwork of the house is old, decayed and defective. The rooms are badly arranged, some of them being ill-ventilated. There is no back yard. The water closet is in the front cellar area. The roof is defective.
