POPULATION
There has been apparently little change in the inhabitants during
the year under consideration All new building schemes have been at a
standstill and repairs to houses have been very difficult to carry out
owing to the want of men and materials. All matters, however, relating
to health have been carried out after some delay. The people upon the
whole,.owing to much higher wages—a rise on an average of 100 per
cent—have never before been so well clothed and fed. The working
