The following work of supervision has been carried out during the
year by Mr. David:—
MILKSELLERS.
During 1917, 52 new names were added to the Register of Milksellers,
and 38 names were removed during the same period. The total
number of milksellers actually on the Register at the end of the year
was 541.
The sale of milk was discontinued at 32 premises, and the business
of milkseller was newly started in four instances.
1,321 inspections of the various milkshops were made. The following
nuisances were discovered, in respect to which 5 intimation notices
were served:—
Dirty milkshops 3 cases
Dirty milkstore 2 cases
Dirty utensils 1 case
Other insanitary conditions 1 case
Total 7 cases
All the above nuisances were remedied.
