HOUSES LET IN LODGINGS.
(Male Inspectors).
House to house inspections were carried out in the following
localities:—
Gurney street, Townley street, Lamlash street, Hayles street,
Beckway street, Empress street, Burman street, Garden row, Elsted
street, Innis place, Blewett street, Kingston street, Runham street,
St. Gabriel street, Gurney street, Rodney road, Cole street, Dorset
street, Linwood place, Brandon street, Chatham street, Horsman street,
Dantzic street, Barlow street, Halpin place, Deacon street, Huntsman
street, East street, Larissa street.
During the year, 599 inspections and 2,735 re-visits were made by
the male inspectors of the various houses in their districts. 132 drains
were tested.
567 intimation and 204 statutory notices were served. 560 sanitary
works were carried out.
