Defects.—The house structure is worn out, there is no damp course in the walls and the walls are damp, the woodwork of the house, such as the floors, windows, doors, partitions and stairs, is old, worn out and dilapidated. The internal arrangement of the rooms of the house is bad, and the staircase is narrow, the closet accommodation is bad, the roof is defective, the back yard is small and the through ventilation of the house is bad.

Defects.-—The house is out of the perpendicular, leaning towards the north. The walls and roof are rotten and worn out, the floors of the house are out of the level, the woodwork of the windows, sashes and doors is worn out, there is only one water closet for the whole of the house, which is situated on a lead flat on the first floor, which flat is sunken in parts, the rooms as a whole are dirty and verminous, there is no fire place in the front room on the top floor and in a front room on the first floor, the basement is in a very dirty state and the drain is defective.

Defects.—It is a back to back house, the walls are cracked and worn out, the front wall being out of the perpendicular, there is no damp course in the walls and the ground floor room is damp, the roof is defective and the woodwork of the house is decayed, the water closet is badly placed in the middle of the house.

Defects.—It is a back to back house, the front wall is cracked and bulged, there is no damp course in the walls and the walls are damp, the roof is defective and the woodwork of the house is decayed, the water closet structure is dilapidated and the closet is without water, all the rooms are less than seven feet in height, there are rats in the house and the rooms are verminous, the staircase is narrow and dark.'
