the borough but belonging to Southwark parents were notified to me by
the Registrar.General. When the 49 "outward" transfers are deducted
and the 384 "inward" transfers are added to the 5,254 births actually
registered in the borough the net amount of births belonging to Southwark
for the year is found to be 5,589. This gives a corrected birth.rate
of 29.4.

Birth.rate for the last Twenty.two Years for the Three Divisions of the Borough as formerly existed.
