VERMINOUS PERSONS CLEANSED DURING 1911.
During the year, 155 persons were cleansed at the Station in King
James Street, as against 713 persons during the year 1910. The diminution
in the total number of persons cleansed is owing to the fact that the
agreement between the London County Council and this Council as to
payment for the cleansing of school children was not completed until the
end of 1911. The cleansing of school children had in the meantime
been suspended.
18 children from the various schools were cleansed as against 600
in 1910.
137 adults were dealt with under the provisions of the Cleansing of
Persons Act, 1897, as against 130 in 1910.
