The following work of supervision has been carried out during the
year by Mr. Weatheritt and Mr. David:—
MILKSELLERS.
During 1909, 134 persons were registered as Milksellers in the
Borough. 113 persons were removed from the register during the same
period, having ceased to sell milk, the number of milksellers actually on
the Register at the end of the year was 421.
On 13 premises the sale of milk was discontinued, and it was newly
started on 11 premises.
690 inspections of the various milkshops were made during the year. A number of nuisances were found to exist, in respect of which 35 written notices were served. The defects found on inspection were as follow:—

These insanitary conditions were all remedied.
SLAUGHTERHOUSES.
There are six Licensed Slaughterhouses in the Borough. The following are the premises and the licensees:—
