DISINFECTION.
The total number of rooms disinfected during the year was 3,632, of
which number 654 were stripped. 3,454 rooms were disinfected and 872
were stripped during the year 1907. Of the 3,632 rooms de< with
during 1908, 871 were fumigated and otherwise cleansed on account of
them having been found to be infested with vermin; it was found
necessary to strip 38 verminous rooms. In the periodical disinfection of
rooms occupied by patients suffering from Phthisis 1,372 rooms were
treated. The number of rooms disinfected after the occurrence of the
ordinary notifiable infectious diseases was 1,389.
