The following work of supervision has been carried out during the
year by Mr. Weatheritt:—
MILKSELLERS.
During 1908, 93 persons were registered as Milksellers in the
Borough. 90 persons were removed from the register during the same
period, having ceased to sell milk, the number of milksellers actually on
the Register at the end of the year was 400.
On 20 premises the sale of milk was discontinued and it was newly
started on 23 premises.
The defects found on inspection were as follow

Defective light and ventilation of milkstore | 1 |
Total | 14 cases |
These insanitary conditions were all remedied.
SLAUGHTERHOUSES.
There are six Licensed Slaughterhouses in the Borough. The following are the premises and the licensees:—

78 inspections of the slaughterhouses were made during 1908.
Insanitary conditions were found to exist only in one instance, which was
as follows :—
Litter not removed from pound 1 case
This defect was remedied.
Bach of the slaughterhouses was limewashed every three months.
