Of the 401 cases notified 371, or 93.5 per cent., were removed to
hospital with 25 deaths, a mortality of 6.6 per cent., whilst in the 26
cases treated at home there were 6 deaths, a mortality of 23.1 per cent.
The Wards most affected were St. Mary's, All Saints', St. Michael's
and St. George's, in the order named.
ENTERIC FEVER.
The deaths from Enteric Fever during the year, numbered 12, as
against 11 and 18 for the years 1905 and 1904.
The total number of cases notified was 111 for the present year, and
74 and 92 for 1905-4.
The percentage of deaths to the total number notified was 10 9.
The annual mortality per 1,000 living was 0.06.
