SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year ending 31st December, 1906, 1,785 samples were
taken by the Inspectors.*
The following Table shews the localities in which these samples were

176 of these samples were certified as adulterated, a percentage
of 9.8. Compared with the percentage of adulteration for the previous
year a decrease of 1.8 is shewn.
Particulars of the samples taken together with the results of the
analyses are given in table 58.
* Mr. David, inspector for St. George's Ward, carried out his duties as Assistant
Inspector under the Food and Drugs Acts, at different periods, amounting to fortytwo
week days and six Sundays, during 1906.
