The following work of supervision has been carried
out during the year by Mr. Weatheritt—
MILKSELLERS.
During 1906, 54 persons were registered as Milksellers in the
Borough. 15 persons were removed from the register during the same
period, having ceased to sell milk, the number of milksellers actually on
the Register at the end of the year was 407.
468 inspections were made of the various Milkshops during the year.
The following defects were discovered by the Inspector at his visits, with
the exception of these, all the premises were found to be in a satisfactory
condition.
Insanitary Conditions Discovered:—
Foul milk stores 3 cases
Dirty utentils 1 case
Total 4 cases
These matters were attended to.
SLAUGHTERHOUSES.
There are six Licensed Slaughterhouses in the Borough. The following are the premises and the licensees:—

91 Inspections of the slaughterhouses have been made during the
year. Upon these occasions the several premises were found to be in a
good sanitary condition, the only exceptions being the following.
Insanitary Conditions Discovered:—
Animals found in pounds other than those
kept for slaughter 1 case.
Garbage tins required 1 ,,
Offensive bones on the premises 1 ,,
Total 3 cases
These defects were remedied.
The periodical limewashing has been duly carried out.
