BIRTHS.
The number of Births registered in the Borough during 1905 was
6,250, of which 3,088 were males, and 3,162 females. This represents a
birth-rate of 30.0 per 1.000 inhabitants.
The number of births in the individual parishes was 3,740 in Newington,
1,891 in St. George" the Martyr, 255 in Christchurch and 364 in
St. Saviour's.
