UNSOUND FOOD.
The only summons taken out during 1905 was against Mr. Potter
Oyler for depositing for the purpose of sale at St Mary Overy Wharf 51
cases of unsound oranges. At the hearing at Tower Bridge Police Court
the Magistrate (Mr. Chapman) held that this case was covered by the
decision given in the "Walnut Case," and that the oranges were sold in
bulk for the purpose of being sorted. He dismissed the summons, but
refused to allow the defendant's costs.
