BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK.
Public Health Office.
Sir and Gentlemen,
I have the honour of submitting for your consideration my Sixteenth
Annual Report in relation to the vital statistics and general sanitary
work of the Borough. The year under review, I need hardly remind the
Council, has been a very important one in regard to health matters and
much excellent work has been done by the staff of officers concerned with
it. It has been necessary to very much condense the account of what
has taken place in the various branches of public health, but I hope not
to such an extent as to prevent the report being readily understood.
I beg to thank the members of the Public Health Committee as
well as those of the Council for their courtesy and consideration on all
occasions.
I have also to thank the various officers under me for their support
and assistance.
I have the honour to be,
Your obedient servant,
G. B. MILLSON,
Medical Officer of Health.
To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors
of the Borough of Southwark.
