CARAVANS
The nuisance from caravans parking on open sites has been kept
in check during the past two years because of a vigorous policy of
taking action against trespassers within 24 hours of arrival.
However, 19^4 brought an influx of persistent offenders which
involved the 'officers of the Public Health Department in a great
deal of work caused by inspections, visits, service of notices and
surveying of unprotected sites.
The only effective remedy to illegal parking is to develop all
unused sites at the earliest possible moment.
