TRANSFER OF SERVICES.
As from 5th July, 1948, certain services and staff, formerly
under the control of the Borough Council, were transferred to the
London County Council which is the responsible authority for the
administration of the services concerned.
I am confident my predecessor, Dr. G. 0. Mitchell, would
like me, on his behalf, to express his thanks to the Council for
the consideration shown in all matters affecting the public health
of the borough, to the officers of the other departments for their
co-operation and to the entire staff of the Public Health Department
for their loyalty and assistance.
