The average milk adulteration for the whole of London was at the
rate of 2.45 per cent., and for the whole of England and Wales 7.1 per
cent, in 1936.
Condensed Milks.
18 samples of condensed and evaporated milks were examined, all
of which were satisfactory.
Preservatives.
Three contraventions of the Preservatives Regulations were found.
1 sample of unlabelled sausage contained sulphur dioxide.
2 Jams contained excess of sulphur dioxide.
