Report of Dr. E. M. Layman, the Medical Officer in charge
of Light Clinics.
I have pleasure in submitting my report on the work of the Light
Clinics during the past year.
347 children and 60 mothers remain for report, after omitting those
who failed in attendance. Of the 347 children, a further 15 unfortunately
made scant or irregular attendance, often unavoidably. No results can
be recorded of these.
The attending children, 332, are classified as follows:—
Rickets (14 severe, 12 mild) 26 cases
(A few of the mild cases were purely muscular
in type.)
Knock Knee 10 ,,
Disturbed Dentition 102 ,,
Malnutrition 43 ,,
Debility 84 ,,
After Illness 37 ,,
Prematurity 12 ,,
Enlarged Tonsils, Adenoids and Adenitis 9 ,,
Various Disorders 9 ,,
