The average weekly numbers of persons in receipt of outdoor relief, and the cost, and the average weekly numbers of persons receiving medical relief only (that is no relief other than the services of a District Medical Officer) during the years 1921-1923 were as follows:—

With reference to St. Andrew's Hospital this is certified to accommodate
787, and previous to the dissolution of the Poplar and Stepney Sick
Asylums district on 31st March, 1925. the beds were apportioned as
follows:—
Poplar 562
Limehouse 225
During the period April 1st to December 31st, 1925, the total days
maintenance amounted to 163,153, giving an average daily number of
593.
