Notifications.
There were 1,705 notifications of cases of infectious diseases, excluding
72 second notifications and 57 cases in which diagnosis was not confirmed.
The notification rate was 10.1, as against 13.8, 12.9, 6.6, 9.2,
and 9.8 for the preceding five years.

Infectious Diseases in Milkshops and Homeworkers' Premises.
Five cases of infectious disease (3 scarlet fever, I diphtheria and 1
erysipelas) were connected with milk shops. One case of diphtheria was
associated with an itinerant vendor of milk.
